It has two steel points to mark both sides of a mortise at the same time. One steel point is fixed, & the other is attached to an adjustable slide. Good for layout work along grain & end grain as well. A handsome tool made from Walnut wood. Brass inlay, slide, & thumbscrew.   Made in England.
